About Grace Baptist School:
Grace Baptist School offers a quality Christian education in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The purpose of our school is to provide Christian training along with a solid academic grounding. Academic and spiritual standards are high with a special emphasis on character and patriotism. Each student has close, personal contact with well-qualified teachers who love God and love children. Grace Baptist School has been a ministry of Grace Baptist Church since 1983.

Spiritual Training:
The Abeka curriculum used at Grace Baptist School is immersed in the spiritual values that are critical to the Christian home. We start our days with prayer and devotions; our work is centered on the Scriptures, and our staff continuously strives to teach the Word of God as the foundation for development of Christian character in every student.

General Philosophy
Grace Baptist School is a ministry of Grace Baptist Church. We are dedicated to the spiritual and academic needs of our students. Our goal is to provide the best available academic training built on the solid foundation of the Word of God in an atmosphere of Christian discipline and love. Our desire is to train young people to live successful Christian lives in an increasingly secular world. We encourage our school families to take advantage not only of the school, but also of the varied ministries of the local church behind it.

Admissions Policy
With the completion of enrollment forms and submission of the required fees, acceptance into the K-6 grade is on a first-come, first-served basis until the maximum numbers have been reached for each grade. Students in 7-12 grades will be accepted based on the results of a personal interview with the admissions committee and the submittal and review of acceptable records and references from their previous school and current church. Students of all races and nationalities are welcome. Students must be of age as of December 1 of the current year for the appropriate grade level.

 Sports and other Activities
A variety of sporting opportunities are provided beginning in elementary school. Grace Baptist School is a member of the Gulf Coast Christian Conference which provides intraschool competition for boys in basketball and flag football and for girls in volleyball. In addition, students in grades 7-12 compete at the Louisiana Independent Baptist Student Convention each spring. Opportunities there include track and field, music, science, creative writing, crafts and platform (drama) events.
